Covestro Makrolon 2805 is a general purpose polycarbonate resin pellet (PC material) offering excellent transparency and light transmission. It features moderate viscosity and release agent content, facilitating easy demolding and processing. Resistant to high temperatures, making it suitable for manufacturing products with high heat dissipation requirements, such as transparent housings for home appliances, automotive lamp covers, and greenhouse construction materials.

  • Polycarbonate material that is easy to process. Makrolon 2805 PC exhibits a melt flow index (MFI) of 10g/10min at 300°C under a 1.2kg test environment. Its medium-viscosity melt is suitable for processing most products. Additionally, this material incorporates release agent components, facilitating product manufacturing and demolding.
  • Excellent mechanical properties. Among polycarbonate materials of the same grade, Covestro Makrolon 2805 high-temperature-resistant PC material exhibits superior and stable mechanical properties, with a ball indentation hardness of 115 N/mm². In a 3.0 mm Charpy Notch Impact test environment at 23°C, it achieves a partial break value of 75 kJ/m², demonstrating excellent hardness and impact resistance. This material is suitable for manufacturing products demanding high material impact resistance, such as automotive lamp housings. and a Charpy Notch Impact partial break of 75 kJ/m² at 23°C and 3.0 mm test conditions. It offers good hardness and impact resistance, making it suitable for manufacturing products requiring high material impact resistance, such as automotive lamp covers and transparent housings for home appliances.
  • High-temperature-resistant PC material. Makrolon 2805 PC material exhibits high heat resistance, achieving a heat deflection temperature of 137°C at 0.45 MPa. In ball pressure tests, the material demonstrates heat resistance up to 136°C. It is suitable for applications requiring heat dissipation, such as appliance housings and automotive lamp covers.
